Is it ok to wear a black shirt to a wedding?

Most people would probably wear a white shirt, so it depends on whether you want to stand out a bit or not. Both would probably be fine to be honest, but if it's a summer wedding then white is probably more appropriate. If you go for the white shirt, the purple or blue tie would be best, and on the black shirt I would go for the purple tie.
