When mentioning great running backs, why does no one ever mention Curtis Martin?

the guy is 4th on the all time leading rushers, yet i have never heard anyone mention this guys when talking about NFL greats, ever. And his first 10 seasons he rusher for 1000 yards every time. Now im not some jets fan or whatever, im just asking a simple question that i dont know the answer to.
