I am planning a camping trip with my boyfriend and 3 kids and would like to keeps cost as low as possible HELP?

Oatmeal is good on cold mornings along with cocoa and fruit for breakfast. Lunch can consist of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or something cooked on the campfire like spaghetti to which you add a good jar/can sauce and some diced tomatos. Ramen Noodles and Cup of Noodles are also good, easy and cheap. I've brought them camping several times. Along with the marshmallows maybe some chocolate and graham crackers to make Smores. You will need drinks such as water, soda, or juice. Then either a pack of chicken, burger, or beef and you should be all set as far as food goes. Of course for other items you will need a tent, sleeping bags or blankets, pillows, clothes/bathing suits (Few more than you think you will need), warm pajamas, sweater or light jacket (No matter what the temp in the daytime it often feels cold at night out in the woods), towels, lighter fluid, foil, matches, and wood (Check to see if your state has a policy such as we do here in MA where no wood can be brought in because of beetles so it can only be bought at the campground). A tarp is nice to keep things dry at night, but not a necessity. I always prefer 2 coolers. 1 for the meat and 1 for the drinks and other stuff. For the children I have always let them bring a small bag of things from home. That helps them be more comfortable. My son did not even open his bag last time, but it just helped him knowing it was there. If you can, some sand toys for the children to play on the beach with would be nice as well as a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on.
